Description

A rune-forged warrior at rest, both hands folded calmly over the haft of a great maul planted head-down. This is a full round character figure, not a tray or lattice panel. A stern, youthful fighter stands with forearms crossed atop a long hammer shaft, the twin square heads of the maul resting on the ground and each face bearing a carved rune. The figure wears layered armour: shaped pauldrons, banded bracers and a long tabard patterned with knotwork and geometric detail, hair swept back from a composed, watchful face. The pose is quiet and grounded, a hero pausing between battles. It is aimed squarely at tabletop RPG and wargaming players, a commanding piece for a warband or a centrepiece to display and paint. Scaled up, it also makes a handsome shelf figure in its own right. Print notes: • Print in resin (SLA) for the crisp face, armour trim and rune detail; FDM softens the finer edges. • Orient upright and support beneath the crossed forearms, the chin and the underside of the hammer heads. • The maul is a good candidate to print separately and pin back on, which also frees up the supporting. • Standard around 32mm heroic scale, but it scales cleanly for a larger display bust. • Prime, then paint metals and leathers; a wash pulls the rune grooves and knotwork into relief. The runes are decorative Younger-Futhark-style marks, purely ornamental.
