Description

A road-worn dwarf pauses mid-journey, staff in hand and pipe at his lips. This figure is all character: a stout, bald-crowned traveller with a long forked beard, heavy brows and a wry, weary expression. He grips a tall knotted walking stick — clearly a branch cut and stripped by hand — while his other hand raises a stubby pipe. His layered woollens, quilted gambeson and cross-strapped satchel are packed with detail, down to the buckled belt, the pouch on his hip and a small book swinging from a cord. Sturdy laced boots root him in a natural, mid-stride stance. He suits fantasy skirmish games, RPG parties and diorama scenes as an NPC scholar, wandering hermit or dwarf ranger, and paints up beautifully as a standalone display piece. Print notes • Resin (SLA/MSLA) is the sweet spot for the beard strands, staff knots and boot laces — print at 0.025–0.05 mm layers. • Angle him around 30–45° and support the staff, the raised pipe hand and the coat hem; the staff is thin, so keep supports dense along it. • FDM is workable at 28–32 mm but expect to lose the finest facial lines — a 0.2 mm nozzle and slow outer walls help. • Prime grey, wash the recesses, then drybrush the wool and leather to bring out the sculpted texture.
