Barrel-Backed Dwarf Piper Miniature

A barrel-laden dwarf piper, caught mid-tune before the march. The sculpt shows a stout, broad-shouldered mountain dwarf in a domed cap, his enormous braided beard tumbling over his chest as he cradles a stubby three-hole flute in both hands. A wide wooden barrel — or perhaps a foraging basket — is lashed high across his back, and a fat belt pouch hangs at his hip. He stands rooted on a round, planked wooden base that suits any tavern, mine or forest table. This is a characterful tabletop miniature rather than a hero on a tall plinth — perfect as a dwarven bard, brewer, porter or friendly NPC for fantasy roleplay and skirmish games. Drop him into a dungeon crawl, a diorama or a growing shelf of adventurers. Print notes • Resin is the way to go: the beard texture, flute holes and barrel staves all reward high detail. • Keep supports light and angled under the barrel overhang and the crook of the arms; the base is already modelled in. • Prints happily at 32mm but scales down to 28mm for rank-and-file use without losing the silhouette.
