Description

Pure, quiet geometry: a single smooth ring. J 103 is a clean toroidal loop — an upright oval standing on its edge, with a softly rounded cross-section and not a scrap of ornament anywhere on it. All of its character lives in the proportion and the polish: the way the tube narrows very slightly toward the top, and how the rounded surface pulls a soft gradient of light around the whole circumference. It is the plainest thing in the batch and quietly the most versatile. Use it as a napkin ring for a table setting, a scarf or drapery ring, a curtain eyelet, a keyring core, or a base loop you build other parts onto. Printed in a set of six it dresses a dinner table; printed large it becomes a minimalist wall or shelf accent. Print notes • On an FDM printer, lay the ring flat on the bed so it prints support-free with clean top and bottom faces. • Stood upright for a smoother outer curve, add a light support raft under the overhanging inner arch, then peel and sand. • The rounded section sands and polishes beautifully — take it to 400 grit for a near-turned look, or leave it matte. • Scale freely: check the inner diameter against whatever it needs to slip over before committing to a batch.
