Faceted Crystal Statement Ring

A chunky faceted band, its outer wall broken into a wraparound of angular knobs. Rather than the celtic knotwork the code might suggest, this piece is a thick three-dimensional ring whose exterior is sculpted into rows of blocky, crystalline facets, part honeycomb, part cut-gemstone, part low-poly boulder. The inner bore is smooth and cylindrical, and the sidewalls are flat and clean, so the rugged texture lives entirely on the outside face where light fractures across every angled plane. It has real presence: a small industrial-organic object with weight to it. Depending on the diameter you scale it to, this is a bold statement ring or bangle, a napkin ring for a rustic table setting, a chunky curtain or scarf ring, or a decorative collar to slip over a candle or vase. A set of them lined up makes a striking modern centrepiece. Print notes • Stand it on one flat face so the ring builds as a tube, the faceted texture then needs no supports at all and each layer adds a crisp horizontal seam between facets. • The hard-edged geometry is very forgiving, so it prints cleanly even at fast speeds and low layer heights show off the facets best. • In resin it comes out jewel-sharp; in FDM a metallic or stone-effect filament plays up the cut-crystal look. • Scale the bore carefully if you intend to wear it, and give the inner edge a light chamfer for comfort.
