Armoured Plate Bangle Band

A chunky statement bangle with a science-fiction attitude, shown here as a matched pair of sizes. The band is a thick, rounded torus whose whole outer surface is carved into overlapping angular armour plates, each segment bevelled at the edges and punched with small rivet or bolt holes so it reads like a wrist gauntlet shrunk to bracelet scale. Deep grooves separate the plates and catch shadow, giving the ring real depth and a mechanical, layered look, while the inside stays smooth and comfortable against the skin. It is aimed at cosplayers, tabletop and LARP fans, and anyone who likes bold sci-fi jewellery; the two sizes let you print a slimmer band or a broad cuff, or stack them for a plated forearm effect. The same shape doubles happily as a heavy-duty napkin ring or a curtain gathering ring. Print notes • Print flat, standing on one rim, so the plated pattern wraps cleanly around; this needs no supports and avoids seams across the detail. • A small nozzle and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep the bevels and rivet holes sharp. • Measure your wrist or hand and scale the diameter to fit; the smaller ring in the render suits a snug band, the larger a loose cuff. • On CNC, this reads well as a two-sided or rotary-axis carve in hardwood or wax for casting. • Print in metallic PLA or resin and drybrush silver over a black base to make the plating pop, then seal for wear.
