Sunburst Ray Wreath Ring

A radiant sunburst ring, half sun-face and half woven wreath. Despite the lattice-panel label, the render shows something far more sculptural: a smooth circular ring from which a crown of tapering, slightly twisted rays springs outward, each rounded like a polished branch or a stylised sunbeam. The rays overlap and interlace toward the rim, giving the piece the look of a sunburst mirror surround or a woodland wreath, and a small integral foot lets it stand upright. Use it as a mirror or clock surround, a standing table ornament, a wall sun, or a seasonal wreath base you dress with foliage. It photographs beautifully as a light-catching centrepiece. Print notes: • Route or print in a pale hardwood for a Scandinavian look, or resin-print and gild for a sunburst-mirror finish. • Those radiating spokes are the fragile part — keep wall thickness generous and, if 3D printing, lay it flat to avoid weak layer lines running across each ray. • On a CNC, machine from a single blank and clean the rounded ray tips by hand; a ball bit gives them their soft, dowel-like profile. • Fit a mirror disc or clock movement into the open centre, or leave it hollow to frame a candle or the wall behind.
