Description

A little architectural jewel — an arched corbel wrapped in beads and scrolls. This relief piece rises into a bold rounded arch, almost like a raised handle, studded along its length with fat spherical beads that catch the light. Beneath the arch sits a tapered base panel carved with a symmetrical fleur-and-scroll filigree, its curling tendrils cut deep against a recessed ground. The overall form reads like a decorative bracket or drop ornament — something to fix under a shelf, at the head of a pilaster, or hang as a standalone accent. It suits furniture restorers and cabinetmakers chasing a period-style flourish, or anyone dressing up a plain surface with carved character. CNC notes: • The deep pockets in the scroll panel want a small ball-nose (2–3 mm) for the finishing pass; rough with a larger bit first. • The beaded arch carries real undercut on a 3-axis machine — expect to hand-finish the underside or run it on a 4th-axis rotary. • Hardwoods like oak, walnut or tulipwood hold the crisp bead edges best. • Orient the grain up the arch so the beads don't chip along the run.
