Description

Three strands, one endless twist. This band is a tidy rope plait rendered in the round — chunky over-under strands chasing each other all the way around the loop, broken at even intervals by four small squared-off blocks that read like clasps or knot stations. The matte sandstone render shows the weave off beautifully, every strand casting its own soft shadow down into the grooves. Print it ring-sized for a woven statement band, or scale it up and it happily becomes a rustic napkin ring or a slim bangle — the braid pattern holds together at any size. It suits handfasting and boho-wedding props, unisex everyday wear, or a maker after a quick, satisfying jewellery print. Print notes: • Resin is the safe bet for a smooth, skin-friendly inner surface; FDM works if you keep layers fine and the band standing upright. • Printed on end, the braid needs little or no support and the seam tucks neatly into a groove. • Scale to your finger (or napkin) size before slicing and confirm the inner diameter with a ring gauge. • Tumble, sand or bead-blast the surface, then wax or clear-coat so the woven grooves stay crisp against the skin.
