Description

A ribbon of rolling scrolls, pierced right through the band so light passes between the curls. This design is a continuous decorative ring wrapped in an openwork frieze of S-scrolls and spiral waves. Rounded, rope-like tendrils rise and break like a stylised surf, each cresting into a tight coil before flowing into the next — a classic wave-and-scroll motif carried the whole way around between two plain raised rails top and bottom. The piercing is genuine cut-through, so the finished piece reads as delicate filigree rather than a shallow engraving. It suits napkin rings, candle collars, decorative curtain or pole rings, or a bold statement band, and the repeating scroll makes it a handsome architectural accent for anyone furnishing a coastal or classical scheme. Cut a set for the dinner table or a run of them for a display. Cut / print notes • The through-piercing means a rotary/4th-axis setup for genuine CNC, or resin/FDM printing for the full 3D band. • Keep the scroll walls thick enough to survive handling — thin coils are the weak point; add a fraction to wall width if the material is brittle. • On a router, run a fine tapered ball-nose to keep the rounded rope profile crisp inside the tight curls. • Sand the two outer rails smooth; the recessed scrolls take a wash or gilt beautifully to make the relief pop.
