Description

A heavy, architectural signet ring built around a big square gem set on the diagonal. The face is a bold square bezel, and the centrepiece is a chunky faceted stone rotated forty-five degrees so it sits as a diamond within the frame. Beveled channels bracket the stone top and bottom, and each corner of the face carries a little cluster of raised beads, like rivets or granulation, that break up the flat metal and add a medieval, almost heraldic weight. Down the shoulders of the band, an engraved Tree of Life spreads its branches and roots in a fine incised line, softening the blocky geometry with something organic. This is a statement piece for someone who likes their jewellery substantial — a men's ring, a pinky ring, or a fantasy costume prop. It reads as gothic and talismanic rather than delicate. Making notes • Print in castable resin if you intend to take it to lost-wax casting in silver or bronze; the beadwork and engraving come through cleanly at 25–50 micron layers. • Orient the band opening downward with light supports inside the shank to keep the face free of scarring. • Scale the model to your finger size before slicing, and check the inner diameter — resin has little give. • For a wearable print straight off the plate, tough or ABS-like resin survives daily knocks better than standard.
