Haunted House Moon Ornament

A crooked haunted house leans against a full moon while bats wheel across the sky. This is a round Halloween ornament worked as a low-relief disc with a small hanging loop moulded at the top. The background is a pitted, cratered full moon that fills the whole medallion, and rising in front of it is a wonderfully wonky haunted mansion — tall pointed gables, tiny latticed windows, sagging porch roofs stacked at odd angles, and a little owl perched on one eave. Three ragged bats flutter across the moon's face to finish the scene. It's spooky but sweet, more storybook than gruesome. Hang it on a seasonal tree, a door wreath or a mantel garland, or hand them out as party favours and trick-or-treat tokens. Cut / print notes: • As a CNC relief, machine it face-up: rough the moon and sky, then switch to a fine tapered ball-nose for the window bars, roof edges and bat wings. • A contrasting stain or a wash into the recesses makes the house pop off the moon — seal the wood first so it doesn't wick unevenly. • Printing instead? Lay it flat on its back, print the loop in place, and 0.12 mm layers keep the tiny window mullions readable. • Scale to roughly 60–80 mm for an ornament, or enlarge for a wall plaque with a keyhole hanger on the reverse.
