Description

An ornamental band ringed with beadwork and delicate pierced holes. This model is a circular ring — a napkin ring, bangle or decorative collar — banded top and bottom with a fine, gear-like row of tiny square teeth. Between those two toothed rails runs an open, pierced frieze: a rhythmic line of small round holes flanked by pairs of raised droplet beads, so light passes right through the middle of the wall. A single small perforation on the upper rail hints at a fixing or hanging point. The effect is dainty and jewellery-like, all texture and rhythm wrapped around a clean cylindrical form. It suits table stylists after a set of decorative napkin rings, makers of costume jewellery and bangles, or anyone dressing candle holders and vases with a slip-on collar. Print tips: • Resin is the safe bet for the tiny beads and pierced holes; on FDM use a small nozzle and slow perimeters so the openwork doesn't blob shut. • Print standing on one rim — the ring is self-supporting and needs nothing through the open frieze. • Check the inner diameter against your target (napkin, wrist or candle) before slicing, then scale radially to fit. • Looks great in a metallic PLA, or a resin you can polish and wax for a cast-metal finish.
