Celestial Star Ring Pendant

A little ring of night sky you can wear. This pendant is a smooth open circle — a rounded torus with a hollow centre — hung from a triple-ribbed bail at the top. The upper half of the ring is left plain and glossy, while the lower arc is carved with a scattered band of five-pointed stars, small crescents and open circlets, like constellations drifting along the bottom of the loop. The contrast between the clean upper sweep and the busy celestial lower edge gives it an easy, wearable balance. It is designed as jewellery: a necklace pendant or charm, a keyring fob, or a master for resin and metal casting. The bold bail is drilled-friendly and takes a cord, chain or jump ring without fuss. Print / cast notes • Resin gives the sharpest star points and crescent edges; 25-35 micron layers recommended. • Print the ring lying flat with light supports under the bail, or hang it bail-up for a support-free back. • Keep walls a touch thicker if printing in a brittle resin so the thin lower band survives handling. • For casting, sprue from the top of the bail and it fills cleanly. • A dark antiquing wash rubbed into the stars and wiped off the smooth arc makes the celestial motif read instantly.
