Description

A heart caught in a spider's web of light. This decorative fretwork panel places a solid, softly-lobed heart at its centre, then radiates a lattice of curved ribs and interlocking cells outward to fill a rounded-corner rectangular frame. The lines fan and cross like leaded stained glass or a peacock-tail mandala, so light pours straight through the open sections while the raised bands throw crisp shadows. It is a romantic piece with a hand-drawn, organic irregularity rather than rigid geometry. It makes a natural gift for weddings, anniversaries and Valentine's, or a permanent bit of decor for a bedroom, nursery or hallway. Hang it in a window as a sun-catcher, mount it over a light box, back it with fabric, or set it as an inset in a door or cabinet front. CNC / print notes • The open web is a through-cut design; use tabs to hold the delicate ribs steady until the final pass, then clean up the corners by hand. • In thin ply or acrylic it becomes a light, hangable screen; in solid hardwood it carries real presence. • Printed, lay it flat and print the frame side down so the openwork bridges cleanly without supports. • Mind the thinnest ribs near the corners, they are the most fragile point, so bump wall thickness slightly if scaling down.
