Description

A cascade of curling vines frozen mid-swirl. This tall vertical panel is packed edge to edge with flowing Baroque scrollwork — tightly wound spirals, unfurling acanthus curls and comma-shaped flourishes that spill down the length of the piece. The forms weave over and around pierced negative spaces, so light passes through it and it reads as much as a fretwork screen as a relief. It's a decorative filler panel, at home as a furniture insert, a door or cabinet centre panel, a stair-riser detail or a piece of framed wall art. The density of curls makes it a showpiece, and the pierced ground means it works two ways: cut clean through, or carved as raised relief on a solid back. Cut & print notes • Superb for CNC fretwork as a through-cut in ply or MDF; or run it as a 2.5D relief with a ball-nose finishing pass for rounded scrolls. • If routing pierced, leave adequate tabs and climb-mill the tight inside curves to avoid tear-out. • 3D print it flat; resin or fine FDM captures the scroll tips — then paint, stain or gild. • The composition stacks vertically, so you can repeat it to fill a taller opening. • Ease and hand-sand the curl tips; they're the first thing to chip. Mirror it for symmetrical pairs flanking a central motif.
