Description

A double scroll of carved wood, unfurling top and bottom around a slip of foliage. This is an ornate furniture leg / bracket carving shaped like a slender S: a large volute curling forward at the crown, a matching spiral scroll at the foot, and between them a raised acanthus-and-tulip motif flowing down the face. The base flares into short fluted toes, while the deep, glossy curves give it a cabriole, antique-cabinet elegance. It's meant as a structural-decorative element — a leg for a console table, cabinet or stool, a stair bracket, or a corbel beneath a shelf or mantel. Run a matching set of four for a table, or use single pieces as decorative brackets. Print notes: • Best CNC-cut from a solid hardwood such as walnut, oak or mahogany — it's a full 3D form, so plan a two-sided or 4th-axis job, or carve the ornamented face as a deep relief onto a turned or sawn leg blank. • The tight inner spirals want a small ball-nose bit and a rest-machining pass to reach the scroll centres. • Printing a master? Stand it upright and support the forward-curling volute and the overhanging foliage tips. • Sand the long sweeping curve with care — it's the first thing the eye follows, so any facets there will show.
