Description

The whole QWERTY layout, frozen in bronze relief. Unlike a router lattice, this file is a decorative bas-relief of a complete full-size computer keyboard, shown here in a warm bronze/gold finish against a dark ground. Every key is modelled in raised relief with its legend recessed into the cap: the function row, the number row, the main alpha block, a full navigation cluster and a numeric keypad, right down to the spacebar, chunky Enter keys and arrow cluster. The regular grid of square keys makes a satisfyingly rhythmic panel, and the sunk lettering is exactly the kind of detail a V-bit loves. It is a natural piece of tech-themed wall art or desk decor — a gift for a programmer, gamer, sysadmin or keyboard enthusiast, whether carved as a plaque or printed as a framed relief tile. Print / CNC notes • On a CNC router, rough the pockets between keys with a flat/ball bit, then run a fine V-bit or tapered ball for the recessed key legends; hardwood or MDF both suit it. • To 3D print, lay it flat, legends up — a 0.2mm layer height reads the lettering cleanly with no supports. • Finish carved wood with a wipe of dark stain, then sand the raised key tops back to bare timber for a two-tone, aged-metal look like the render. • Add a keyhole slot or frame rebate on the back for hanging.
