Giant One-Rouble Coin Medallion

An oversized coin, blown up into a carveable medallion. This CNC relief recreates the face of a one-rouble coin: a bold, blocky numeral 1 dominates the left, the Cyrillic word РУБЛЬ marches across the bottom, and a flourish of curling art-nouveau floral scrollwork sweeps up the right side, all sitting inside a raised circular rim with a lightly dished field. Rendered here with a warm bronze sheen against black, the layered depth and clean lettering give it real presence as a decorative currency piece. It suits CNC routers making wall medallions, numismatic-themed plaques, coasters or novelty giant-coin gifts, and it also 3D-prints well as a display coin. Carving notes: • A round relief for 3-axis work: rough out the field, then finish the lettering and filigree with a small ball-nose or tapered bit for crisp serifs and fine scroll tips. • Dense hardwood or MDF takes the fine detail cleanly; soft woods will fuzz the thin scrollwork. • For the metal look, print or carve then rub-buff a bronze or copper metallic wax and buff back the high points. • Invert the relief if you want to cut a negative for casting or a coining stamp. • Scale up boldly, this design rewards a larger diameter where the filigree can breathe.
