Bony Fish Carved Wall Plaque

A single fish, its skeleton carved right through its own silhouette. This relief is a stylised fish shown in full profile, and the clever bit is the recessed oval panel across its body: inside it, a fishbone spine of alternating ribs runs from the round-ringed eye back toward the tail, so the creature appears to wear its own skeleton like a badge. Sweeping dorsal and belly fins fan out above and below, each ribbed with parallel ray grooves, and the tail splits into fine radiating tines. The carving mixes bold, smooth surfaces with sharp linear detail — a graphic, almost tribal take on coastal decor. It suits a kitchen, bathroom or hallway with a nautical leaning, a keen angler's den, or a fishmonger's or seafood-restaurant wall. Add a keyhole to the back and hang it, or leave it freestanding on a mantel.
