Single Curved Feather Wall Relief

One perfect plume, carved so finely you can almost feel it drift. This relief is a single large feather, gently curved along its length, with a raised central quill splitting it into two vanes. Every barb is individually modelled, sweeping outward in long combed strokes that ripple where the feather bends, and the base tuft breaks into loose, downy curls. It is a calm, natural, almost meditative piece — the kind of organic motif that softens a room without shouting for attention. Print / cut notes • Lay it flat, face-up — the shallow relief and fine barbs depend on smooth vertical stepping, so a fine layer height or a small finishing bit matters here. • CNC: rough with a larger bit, then finish the barbs with a 1–2mm tapered ball-nose to keep each stroke crisp. • On a resin printer this prints cleanly flat on the plate with a low-angle raft. • Sand very lightly along the grain of the barbs, not across, so you don't flatten the ridges. Scale it small for a shelf token or large for a statement over a bed or sofa.
