Jazz in miniature — a fully sculpted alto saxophone captured mid-shine. The model reproduces the whole horn in one graceful S-curve: the crook and mouthpiece up top, a body tube studded with tone-hole cups, dozens of individually modelled keys and rods running down the side, and that flared bell curling out at the base behind a pierced decorative guard. It is a detailed replica, not a toy outline. This one is all about display. Printed small it makes a desk ornament or shelf piece for a saxophonist, band teacher or jazz fan; scaled up it becomes a statement decoration for a music room or studio. Print notes • Resin (SLA/DLP) is the right call here — the keywork and rods are fine and reward high resolution. • Expect a support-heavy print: the outstretched keys and the bell overhang need careful support placement, ideally auto-generated then trimmed by hand. • Print the neck/crook separately or angled to avoid a weak seam where it bends. • Prime and paint in brass or antique gold, then flow a dark wash into the recesses to pop all that mechanism.
