Cupped Praying Hands Sculpture

Two hands, quietly held together in a moment of stillness. Despite the CNC filing, the image shows a fully three-dimensional sculpture: a pair of hands raised palm to palm, the fingertips meeting at the crown and the palms opening slightly into a soft, cupped vessel before tapering down to joined wrists. The modelling is gentle and lifelike — knuckles, nail beds and the fold where the thumbs tuck in are all rounded rather than sharp — giving the piece a calm, devotional feel under the warm studio lighting. It works beautifully as a spiritual or memorial keepsake: a mantel or altar accent, a sympathy gift, a meditation-corner focal point, or simply a serene sculptural object for a shelf. The cupped hollow between the palms can even cradle a tealight, a ring or a sprig of dried flowers. Print notes: • Resin gives the smoothest skin; FDM also works well at fine layers with the wrists as the base. • Orient upright on the wrist stump; expect supports under the outer forearm curve and the overhanging fingertips. • Scale is flexible — palm-sized for a desk or larger for a statement piece; check wall thickness if you shrink it. • Finish with a matte primer and a soft off-white or stone paint for a carved-alabaster look.
