Description

A cheeky diet-day confession, carved in relief. This single-sided bas-relief plays a joke everyone recognises: a rotund gentleman perched on an old-fashioned platform weighing machine, his weight tipping the oversized dial so hard the needle swings to the very bottom. The scale's face is styled like a station clock, ringed with hour marks and stamped 'MITSUBISHI' across the top, its single arrow drooping under the load. The man himself — topknot quiff, round belly spilling over slim straps, hands resting on his knees — gazes up at the verdict with comic resignation. It's a relief panel meant to be carved into a flat blank and hung as a grin-worthy piece of decor: perfect over a gym bench, in a bathroom beside the scales, or as a nudge-nudge gift for someone who loves their food. CNC notes • Designed as 3D relief: rough out with a large end mill, then finish with a ball-nose bit for the rounded belly and dial. • Depth matters — allow enough Z travel for the raised scale head standing above the recessed background. • Cuts cleanly in close-grained hardwood (beech, lime, maple); seal and wax, or paint the dial lettering for contrast. • Can also be sliced as a printed wall plaque; add a keyhole slot on the back for mounting.
