Twin Heart Trinket Dishes

Both share the same clean, softly rounded silhouette — a gentle upper cleft dropping to a soft point — with a smooth recessed basin and a chamfered edge that catches the light. There's nothing fussy here; the charm is in the simplicity, which makes these ideal wedding-favour trinket dishes, Valentine's gifts, bedside catch-alls, or a ring dish for a proposal. Cut a set in contrasting timbers and you have a quick, heartfelt present. Print notes: • On the CNC both carve fast from a single slab — a roughing pass then a ball-nose finish leaves the basin glassy; sand to 240 and oil for a warm finish (use a proper food-safe oil if it'll hold sweets). • The two depths are separate bodies, so nest them or run them side by side to fill a blank efficiently. • Printing instead? Lay each flat on the bed, no supports needed; a 0.2mm layer height keeps the sweeping rim crisp. • A lovely candidate for a two-tone resin pour, or an epoxy-filled well if you want a splash of colour in the basin.
