Description

Roses spilling down a teardrop, frozen mid-bloom. The panel is shaped like a long paisley teardrop, its surface dished and smooth so the flowers sit proud of a soft, shadowed field. Six roses of varying size cluster down the centre, two fat fully open blooms flanked by smaller buds just beginning to unfurl, with pointed leaves tucked between them and trailing toward the tapered tip. It is a romantic, feminine piece with obvious homes: a jewellery-box lid, the front of a keepsake drawer, a headboard centrepiece, or a memorial plaque where soft florals matter. Set into a plain cabinet door it turns ordinary joinery into something that feels like an heirloom. Print / CNC notes: • The rose petals stack in overlapping layers, so a ball-nose finishing pass at 1.5mm or finer earns its keep in the tight petal cores. • Orient with the pointed end downward on the bed if you print it as a wall tile, keeping supports off the carved face. • Lovely in a pale hardwood like maple or pear left bare, or primed and painted in a chalky matte for a shabby-chic look. • Sand lightly with the grain; the broad smooth background shows tool marks far more than the busy petals do.
