Leaping Shaolin Kung Fu Monk

Frozen at the peak of a flying strike. This figure catches a Shaolin monk deep in a form: shaven head, bare torso drawn tight over lean muscle, a knotted cloth sash gathering loose kung-fu trousers, one knee driven high while the opposite arm snaps out in a straight punch and the near hand holds a vertical knife-hand guard at the chest. The whole pose balances on the ball of one foot, so it carries real momentum - a study in stillness and violence held in the same instant. It is a display sculpture for a martial-arts studio shelf, a dojo desk, or a collector of fighting figures. Print notes • Resin will give the sharpest tendon, fabric and facial detail at this scale. • The raised leg, extended punching arm and single point of contact all need supports; pin the standing foot to a base with a brass rod for stability. • Print at a slight back-tilt to keep supports off the face and the front of the torso. • If you want a larger statue, split at the waist and sash line for easier printing and a hidden join, then fill and sand the seam before priming.
