Description

One half of a heart, filled with climbing rosebuds — made to be mirrored into a whole. This relief is shaped like one lobe of a heart, tapering to a graceful point, with a slender rose stem winding up its length. Half a dozen tight, just-opening rosebuds nod off the vine between pairs of pointed leaves, all raised in soft, rounded relief inside a smooth bordered field. Carve a mirrored copy and the two halves close into a full rose heart — perfect for wedding gifts, anniversaries or a Valentine's centrepiece — or use the single lobe as an elegant asymmetric onlay on its own. It's ideal for decorating headboards, jewellery boxes, cabinet doors, plaques and photo frames where a romantic, botanical touch is wanted. Carve / print notes • Best cut as a 2.5D CNC relief; rough with a larger bit, then finish with a 1–2 mm tapered ball-nose to round the buds and leaf tips cleanly. • Choose a fine, pale hardwood (maple, pear, lime) so the delicate petals don't tear along the grain. • Printing it? Lay it flat, relief-side up, and slice fine — no supports needed on the flat back. • A gentle sand and a rub of dark wax into the recesses makes the roses pop against the raised border.
