Description

A sleek minnow profile shaped to knife through the water and wobble on the retrieve. Forget the tags — this is a fishing lure. The model is a long, gently arched hard-bait body: a rounded, tapering nose with a line-tie eyelet at the tip, a small angled diving lip tucked underneath, a smooth rolling belly and a fine seam running the length of the flank. That seam is the giveaway that the body splits into two halves — the hollow inside is where you would house ballast, a rattle, and the wire and hook hardware. It is built for anglers who make their own tackle: think casting or trolling jerkbaits and minnows for pike, perch, bass or trout. The bare model is your blank — you supply the action, the hooks and the finish. Build notes • Print the two halves flat-side down and bond them to seal a watertight buoyancy and rattle chamber. • Tune the swim with lead or tungsten ballast low in the belly; test-float before final sealing. • The thin diving lip is the fragile part — support it, or print it slightly thicker and sand to shape. • Waterproof thoroughly: an epoxy coat or several passes of hard clear lacquer over your paint, then fit screw-eyes, split rings and trebles. A satisfying functional print, and endlessly tweakable once you dial in the wobble.
