Backlit Rounded Disc Wall Light

A warm coin of light with a single dark eye at its heart. This piece is a smooth, pillowy disc — convex and softly domed, its rim rolling gently back like a river-worn stone — pierced through the middle by one round hole. Lit from behind, the body glows a honeyed amber and the central bore reads as a calm dark pupil, giving it the look of a small private sun or a minimalist wall moon. There is no ornament here at all; the whole appeal is the quiet organic curvature and the way the glow pools thickest at the centre and feathers out toward the edge. It suits a modern, Scandi or wabi-sabi interior as a wall-mounted diffuser, a bedside nightlight, or a soft accent glowing above a shelf. A few making notes. Print in a warm-white or natural translucent filament so an LED behind it diffuses evenly — two or three perimeters with low infill keep the surface luminous rather than blotchy. Orient it dome-up on the flat back; the underside stays hidden against the wall and needs no supports at all. A light sanding of the outer dome makes the layer lines vanish into the diffuse glow. And if you would rather CNC-cut it from translucent acrylic or a thin hardwood veneer, keep the central bore clean-edged and back it with a recessed puck light for the same effect.
