Description

A fat barrel of a head sits at one end of a long, gently swelling handle — a proper striking mallet in silhouette. The head is a rounded drum with softly domed ends, the classic profile of a turned carver's or joiner's mallet meant to be swung face-on rather than edge-on. From it runs a slim handle that tapers along most of its length before flaring back out at the very tip, giving the hand a natural stop to grip against. It's a clean, honest tool shape with no ornament — all function. Use it as a printable workshop mallet for tapping chisels and assembling joints, as a lightweight prop mallet for costume or stage, or as a lathe-turning reference profile if you'd rather make the real thing in timber. Print notes • Print head and handle in one piece along the handle axis; for a mallet you'll actually swing, split the head from the shaft and print the handle upright for grain-like strength. • If it's a working striker, go high infill or solid with plenty of walls; a decorative or cosplay copy can stay light. • The low-poly faceting on the head smooths right out with a light sand or a coat of filler-primer. • Minimal supports needed if the handle lies flat; scale the whole model to match the mallet weight and reach you want.
