Description

A clean workshop label plate, its lettering cut straight into the surface. This is a simple rectangular nameplate carrying recessed, italic engraved text — reading "Цанги ER-20", Russian for "ER-20 collets". The design is deliberately spare: a flat, slightly bevelled plaque with the wording set into the upper-left corner in a bold sans-serif slant, leaving the rest of the face open. It's a functional identification tag rather than an ornament, the kind of plate that fronts a drawer, a storage rack or a tool cabinet so the right collets are found at a glance. It's aimed at makers kitting out a workshop or machine shop: label a collet drawer, a tool wall, a parts bin or an organiser tray. Swap the text on your own copy and the same plate becomes a template for any drawer or shelf label you need. Cut / print notes • Engrave with a fine V-bit or small ball-nose for crisp letter edges; a single shallow pass is usually enough for legibility. • On an FDM printer, print face-up and pause for a filament swap to fill the recessed letters in a contrasting colour. • Keep the plate thin — a few millimetres is plenty for a drawer front — and add screw holes or double-sided tape for mounting. • Paint-fill or wipe a dark pigment into the engraved text, then wipe the face clean, to make the lettering read sharply.
