Description

A rectangular screen woven from an organic web of cells, like cracked earth or the veins of a leaf. Nothing here repeats: the pattern is a true Voronoi lattice, an irregular net of polygonal openings that swell toward the centre and knit tighter at the edges, with a couple of denser knots where the strands bunch and swirl. Cut straight through it becomes open fretwork; carved shallow it reads as textured relief. Either way it feels modern, sculptural and alive with light. Use it as a room-divider insert, a cabinet or radiator grille, a lampshade panel that throws dappled shadows, or simply a piece of abstract wall art. Cut notes • For a true screen, cut all the way through sheet stock (ply, MDF, acrylic) — the fully connected web holds together as one piece with no floating islands. • Climb-mill the finishing pass on the thin strands to avoid tear-out, and leave small holding tabs if your material tends to shift. • Cell walls vary in width, so choose a bit that clears the narrowest gaps cleanly; a small down-cut bit keeps the top edges crisp. • Back-light it, or float it a few centimetres off the wall, to let the openwork cast its shadow pattern.
