Layered Blossom High-Relief Panel

A tumbling bed of carved blossoms in deep relief. This CNC panel depicts layered flowers — full, many-petalled dahlia- or water-lily-like blooms with pointed, veined petals opening around raised button centres, framed by overlapping leaves that fill the field edge to edge. The carving is high-relief and organic, with genuine depth between the foreground blooms and the receding foliage behind, so raking light throws it into dramatic shadow. It's built as a decorative wall panel, cabinet-door or headboard inset, or a furniture accent — the kind of statement botanical relief that flatters both traditional and boho interiors. Cut / print notes: • As a CNC file, run a roughing pass then a fine ball-nose finishing pass to resolve the petal veins and the layered overlaps; oak, walnut or tulipwood carve crisply, while MDF gives a smooth paint-grade base. • Mind the depth of the flower centres — a smaller finishing bit and a shallow stepover keep those tight recesses clean. • It also 3D-prints beautifully as a plaque: lay it flat, relief up, no supports, 0.12mm layers. • Finish with stain and a dark glaze wiped into the recesses, or prime and paint, to make the floral layers pop.
