Description

A blossom caught mid-spin inside a beaded frame. This is a square decorative tile carved in relief. At its heart, a many-petalled rosette swirls like a pinwheel — long tapering petals spiral outward around a smaller inner flower and a cross-hatched button centre, giving the whole bloom a sense of gentle rotation. A ring of raised beads (a classic pearl border) encircles the rosette, and the outer square frame is finished with fluted quarter-fan fillets tucked into each corner. Everything is balanced and symmetrical, built to sit as a repeatable unit. It's a versatile décor block: a cabinet or wardrobe door centre, a coffered ceiling tile, a drawer-front medallion, a decorative coaster, or a furniture inlay panel. Because the frame is square, it also tiles edge-to-edge for a larger patterned surface. CNC notes: • Pocket the flat background first, then carve the petals with a ball-nose for that soft, rounded flare; keep a consistent finish stepover so the beads stay even. • The hatched flower centre is the finest detail — a small tapered ball or a follow-up V-bit pass cleans it up. • Cuts well in MDF for painted work or in oak/beech for a natural show face; mind the grain so petal tips don't lift. • Prefer printing? It's a flat back-down relief with no supports needed — ideal as a glue-on tile or a chunky coaster. A light sand across the high petals before finishing keeps every ridge sharp.
