Six-Fold Acanthus Rosette Medallion

A six-fold burst of acanthus leaves curling around a central boss. This carved rosette is a radial ornament: six pairs of scrolled, deeply undercut acanthus leaves fan out from a raised round button at the centre, their serrated tips flaring to the rim so the whole disc reads like a stylised flower. The relief is generous and the shadows deep, giving it real presence even before finishing. Pieces like this are the workhorses of decorative joinery — furniture appliqués and onlays, ceiling-rose centrepieces, door-panel accents, mirror and clock embellishments, or a standalone carved medallion for the wall.
