Square Petal Rosette Corner Block

A four-way petal rosette, framed square and ready to accent a corner. Inside a raised square border sits a symmetrical carved bloom: broad, rounded petals alternating with slimmer pointed leaves, all radiating from a domed central boss like a stylised flower or palmette. The recessed panel and crisp frame give it the look of a classic corner block or plinth rosette — the kind that finishes joinery where mouldings meet. Use it as a cabinet or door corner block, a plinth block at the foot of an architrave, a repeated accent on furniture aprons and newel posts, or a decorative stud on frames and boxes. Its self-contained square outline makes it easy to array in a grid or repeat down a run. CNC / print notes • The framed square tiles predictably, so batching or mirroring is simple. • Rough with an end mill, then a ball-nose finishing pass to round the petals and the central boss. • Cuts cleanly in oak, maple, beech or MDF; it also prints as a tidy resin/FDM onlay. • Leave the flat back intact for gluing or screwing to the workpiece. • Scale the outer square to your block size before carving, and keep a hair of border flat so it seats flush against adjoining trim.
