Radiant Sunburst Mandala Medallion

A sunburst mandala that spirals your eye straight to its centre. This round applique is built in layers. The outer edge is a ring of twelve plump, scalloped cloud-lobes forming a scandal of gentle bumps around the rim. Inside sits the real showpiece: a radial arrangement of heart-and-spade shaped scrolls, each tipped with a tiny fleur, all pinwheeling inward toward a raised starburst rosette with a small bead at the very eye. The multiple relief depths give it a rich, almost jewel-like play of shadow. It is ideal as a ceiling rose, a cabinet or drawer centre, a decorative jewellery-box lid, or simply framed as ornamental wall art. The dense radial symmetry means it holds attention as a standalone medallion. CNC / print notes: • STL supplied; because the relief steps through several depths, a roughing pass followed by a fine 2mm ball-nose finishing pass pays off here. • Keep feeds gentle around the delicate heart scrolls to avoid chipping in open-grained timber. • Gild or paint the recessed field and wipe the raised faces clean for a striking two-tone medallion. • Equally happy as a flat resin/FDM relief for lightweight wall or furniture decoration.
