Fluted Daisy Rosette Medallion

A blooming rosette medallion, petals radiating from a sunburst heart. This round CNC carving centres on a fluted daisy boss — a ribbed dome crowned by a little raised bead — from which broad, teardrop petals sweep outward in mirrored pairs, framed by smaller bud tips and ringed by a clean raised border. It's a timeless decorative rosette, the sort of ornament you find on antique furniture, ceiling centres and cabinet corners, rendered here in a warm parchment tone. The symmetry is its strength: four-way balance means it reads perfectly from any angle, so it works as a drawer-front medallion, a mirror or clock surround accent, a furniture onlay, or a small standalone wall plaque. It also tiles conceptually with other rosettes if you're dressing a set of doors or a headboard. CNC / print notes • Cut on a flat blank — the piece is a shallow relief, so a modest Z-depth keeps carve times short. • Use a ball-nose finishing pass to round the petal lobes and the fluted centre cleanly; the ribbed boss benefits from a small stepover for crisp flutes. • The undercut hollows between petals are open and tool-friendly — no fiddly deep pockets here, making it a good beginner relief. • On hardwood, a stain-and-wax finish highlights the petal edges; in resin or FDM it makes a quick decorative cabochon — glue a magnet or pin to the flat back for a mountable ornament.
