Description

A four-fold acanthus knot furling around a single central bead. This is a square decorative tile carrying a symmetrical, rotational leaf design: four furled acanthus-style scrolls curl inward toward a round central boss, each scroll wrapped by broad, tapering leaves that fan out to fill the corners. The relief is deep and genuinely sculptural — rolled leaf tips, shadowed pockets and layered fronds give it real dimensional drama. It's a traditional carved-panel motif, the sort you'd meet on a cabinet corner, a ceiling rose, a door panel or a piece of period-style furniture. Route it into hardwood as an inset panel, or print it as a raised onlay to dress up an otherwise plain surface. Cutting notes: • CNC in a tight-grained hardwood such as beech, cherry or maple for clean leaf edges. • A roughing pass followed by a fine ball-nose finishing pass captures the curled centres. • 3D print flat with the relief facing up; drop the layer height for crisp fronds and skip supports. • The square footprint tiles neatly into repeating borders or matched corner sets.
