Diamond-Centre Palmette Rosette Tile

A symmetrical carved tile with a jewel at its heart. Dead centre sits a raised diamond, faceted like a cut gem inside a beaded frame, and out from it radiates a balanced spray of ornament: paired scrolls that curl into button-like bosses, broad teardrop palmette leaves, and small pointed buds tucked between them. The whole composition is mirror-symmetrical top-to-bottom and side-to-side, carved in soft, rounded relief that reads as classic furniture-carver's vocabulary rendered on a square field. This is a decorative relief tile meant to dress a flat surface — a cabinet door centre, a drawer front, a headboard panel, or a framed carved plaque for the wall. Machined as a set, several make a coordinated furniture makeover; single, it works as a standalone ornament. CNC & print notes • Ideal for a 3-axis router in hardwood; a ball-nose finishing pass keeps the rounded lobes and scrolls smooth. • Watch the depth on the central diamond — its facets need clean stepover to keep the crisp point. • Printing instead: lay it flat, faced up, for a support-free relief you can glue onto a surface. • Sand lightly along the leaf edges, then stain or gild to lift the pattern against a darker ground.
