Layered Petal Rosette Medallion

A blooming rosette carved in the round, petals radiating from a soft domed heart. This is a circular decorative medallion built as a stacked flower: two overlapping rings of long, sharp-tipped petals fan out from a plump spherical centre, each petal ridged down its spine so it catches light like a real dahlia or lotus. The petals of the rear layer peek between those in front, giving the disc genuine depth, and the whole thing sits proud of a clean round backing plate ready to be mounted flush. Pieces like this are the workhorse of decorative woodwork and furniture restoration. Use it as a rosette on a cabinet door, the centre boss of a coffered ceiling panel, a corner accent on a mirror frame, or a repeating motif down a staircase newel. It also reads beautifully as standalone wall art or a drawer-pull backplate once finished.
