Balance, cast in warm bronze relief. This circular plaque shows a graceful robed woman caught mid-stride, one arm lifted overhead while the other reaches out to hold a small set of hanging scales aloft. It is the classic personification of Libra, the zodiac's sign of harmony and justice. Her windswept gown breaks into deep, layered folds that pool and ripple across the lower half of the disc, and the whole figure sits in a smooth recessed field ringed by a raised bevelled rim, so it reads like a struck commemorative coin or a wall medallion. This is a lovely piece for a September or October birthday, an astrology lover's shelf, or a framed feature on a hallway wall. Carving and print notes: • This is a single-sided relief, ideal for a 3-axis CNC in oak, walnut or cherry, or an SLA/resin print laid flat on the bed. • Rough with a large end mill, then finish the flowing drapery and fine scales with a tapered ball-nose bit for smooth gradients. • On resin, orient the disc face-up or tilt slightly to keep supports off the sculpted surface and preserve the crisp rim. • Seal wood with an oil or dark wax and buff the high points to lift the figure out of the background.
