Four-Petal Rosette Appliqué

Four plump petals open in a cross, with slim spear-leaves tucked behind. A compact square rosette, essentially a quatrefoil. Four rounded, teardrop-shaped petals radiate from a single central point, and each one is scored down the middle with a neat keyhole-shaped groove that reads as a leaf vein. Between them, at the diagonals, slender pointed leaves peek out to fill the corners and make the whole thing sit square. The petals are gently domed, so the surface swells and falls in soft light rather than sitting flat. It's a versatile little ornament: a cabinet corner block, a drawer-front centrepiece, a repeated motif on a door panel, a furniture rosette at a rail junction, or a small ceiling boss. Print / CNC notes: • The modest doming means a ball-nose bit finishes the puffed petals cleanly in a single pass; drop in a V-bit for the keyhole veins. • It's a single square tile, so it arrays beautifully — set out a grid of them across a panel. • Works in hardwood for a natural finish, or paint-grade timber if you plan to gild or colour it. • Small enough to 3D print flat with no supports for a quick decor prototype.
