Description

A ribbon-swept dancer caught mid-whirl, framed in a clean circular rim. This is a round relief medallion, not a lattice tray — the raised bevelled border encircles a shallow dished field, and rising from it in soft high relief is a barefoot female dancer arched backward in motion. Her weight tips onto one leg while she draws a slender staff or ribbon-pole taut above her head, the fabric of a long gown streaming out behind her in deep, wind-tossed folds. The carving reads as neoclassical-meets-art-deco: sinuous body line, flowing cloth rendered with real depth, and a restrained, tasteful drape across the figure. It suits a feature wall, a stairwell panel, an inset over a fireplace, or a large decorative disc for a dance studio or performing-arts space. Mounted flush or slightly proud, the rim casts a clean shadow that lifts the figure off the wall. Print notes: • Cut or print face-up flat so the rim stays crisp and the deepest drape folds clear the bit or nozzle. • For CNC, rough with a larger endmill then finish the figure with a fine tapered ball-nose; the streaming fabric hides tiny stepover lines well. • Resin captures the flowing hair and fingers best; FDM at 0.12 mm with a wide brim also holds up. • Sand only the flat rim and let the figure keep its tooled texture, then wax, gild the border, or paint a bronze wash for a struck-medallion look.
