Description

A single bloom frozen mid-open, every petal curling toward the light. This is a high-relief flower rosette, somewhere between an open rose and a fleshy succulent. Broad, rounded outer petals with softly pointed, upturned tips wrap in overlapping rings toward a tightly furled bud at the centre. The modelling is soft and naturalistic, with gentle hollows inside each petal and crisp ridges along their spines, and the warm tan render shows off the deep shadows the carving will throw once it is cut. It makes a lovely standalone motif: set it into a drawer front or cabinet panel, crown a jewellery-box lid, mount it as a wall rosette or ceiling boss, or use a cluster of them for wedding and event decor. The rounded, symmetrical form also suits repeated placement down a rail or across a headboard. CNC notes • This is a genuinely deep relief, so allow enough Z travel and use a tapered ballnose for the finishing pass. • The furled centre has tight pockets; a small-diameter bit will reach in where a larger tool cannot. • Run a roughing pass first to clear bulk stock, then a fine contour finish for the petal surfaces. • Works equally well resin-printed as an appliqued onlay if you would rather not machine it; sand lightly and seal before painting or gilding.
