Sauna Bather On Bench Figurine

A cheerful, round-bellied bather takes his ease on the sauna bench, pail tucked in the crook of his arm. The figure is a plump, contented man perched on a slatted wooden bench, wearing the classic pointed felt sauna cap, a towel wrapped around his middle and little clogs on his feet. He cradles a staved wooden sauna bucket with a long-handled ladle resting inside it, one hand planted comfortably on his knee and a broad grin across his face. It is a full-round, good-humoured folk figurine straight out of a Finnish sauna or Russian banya. It makes a novelty gift for sauna and spa lovers, a shelf ornament for a bathroom or wellness room, or a comic addition to a collection of character figures. Print notes: resin (SLA/DLP) is the way to hold the face, the fingers and the bucket staves crisp, with supports under the bench overhang, the forearms and the ladle. FDM is fine at a larger scale, though you will want to soften the layer lines across the smooth belly afterwards. Print the bench and figure together as one piece, and hollow the body if you size it up so it does not turn resin-hungry.
