Ventilated Thumbhole Target Stock

A ventilated thumbhole stock with engraved checkering. Another long-gun stock component, this one shown from the opposite flank — a skeleton-frame rifle stock built for a lightweight, precision look. Bold open loops are milled through the grip area behind an ergonomic thumbhole, the comb and butt sweep up to a raised heel, and diamond-honeycomb stipple pads sit on the pistol grip, the butt and the very tip of the fore-end, each bordered with a fine engraved feather scroll. Please note: this is a firearm part and is flagged for review. It is offered as a display prop or a machining reference. Print notes: • Best printed lying flat on the largest side; a raft or brim helps the long thin fore-end stay put. • For a working pattern choose nylon or a carbon-filled filament; for a shelf or prop piece, PLA or resin gives sharper checkering. • Add supports beneath the grip loops and the comb overhang; leave the stipple panels unsupported and skyward. • Finish with grain-fill primer and a satin coat, or route the same profile into a timber blank using this as the reference model.
