Description

A ceremonial hunting dagger whose pommel curls into the head of a ram. This is a two-part decorative carving: an ornate handle and its own matching sheath. The handle is crowned by a ram's head with tightly coiled spiral horns, a lowered muzzle and a beaded collar, while the grip below is wrapped in a fine cross-hatched, basket-weave texture. The scabbard is the real showpiece — a deep-relief woodland hunting scene runs its length, with waterfowl breaking from the reeds, a hound coursing through grass and a treeline suggested in low, layered relief, all bordered by rope-twist banding over a knurled ground and tapering to a slender turned finial at the tip. Made as a display trophy rather than a working blade, it belongs on a study wall, over a mantel or in a collector's cabinet, and makes a characterful gift for anyone drawn to hunting lore or fine cutlery. Print / cut notes • Deep relief: rough with a large ball-nose, then bring up the horns and the hunting scene with a fine tapered ball bit. • Cut or print the handle and sheath as two separate parts; support the overhanging ram horns if 3D printing. • Run the wood grain along the length of the sheath so the long carving stays strong. • A light wax or oil finish pulls the scene into crisp shadow and warms the ram's head.
