Description

A blade that looks pulled straight from a barbarian king's tomb. This ornamental fantasy dagger is pure dark-fantasy theatre: a broad, tapering blade whose flat is carved with a column of angular runes, flanked by raised borders that break into wicked barbs near the guard. At its heart sits a circular medallion cradling a small skull-and-cross motif, framed by a spiked, cross-shaped crossguard. The ribbed grip winds down to a heavy, radiating pommel that echoes the guard's points. Modelled as a deep-relief carving, it is equally at home routed into hardwood as a wall trophy or printed as a cosplay and display prop. There is nothing functional or realistic here — it's stylised prop fantasy through and through. Making notes: • For CNC: this suits a raised-relief job on a panel — rough with a larger bit, then switch to a 1 to 2 mm ball-nose for the runes, skull and detailing. Oak, walnut or basswood all read well. • For 3D printing: lay the dagger flat, relief-side up, for a support-free carve face; resin captures the crisp lettering best. • Seal and rub a dark glaze into the recesses, then highlight the raised edges so the runes and skull pop. • Scale it to a mantel plaque, a shield centrepiece, or a full-length foam-core prop backing.
